Ronald Dean Dickens

    Ronald Dean Dickens of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, August 25, 1958 in Rolla, Missouri to Paul and Geraldine “Gerry” Barlet Dickens and passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at the age of 63 years, 9 month, and 18 days.

    He was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and attended Cuba Schools.
    As a youngster, Ron went to church with his parents and had accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He worked with his dad at a young age and went to a trade school to become an electrician.
    He was employed by the City of Cuba for a while and then founded Dickens Electrical Company where he worked for many years.
    He married Cynthia “Cindy” McGauly at the Free Will Baptist Church in Cuba, Missouri on June 24, 1978.
    Ron also raised cattle and cut hay on his farm.  His hobbies included fishing, taking short trips to town on his Harley motorcycle and woodworking.
    He made cedar furniture such as lamps, coat racks, tables, and rocking horses and he also made rings out of antlers.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Dickens; father-in-law, Henry McGauly; and brother-in-law, Michael McGauly.
    He is survived by his parents, Paul and Gerry Dickens of Cuba, Missouri; son, Joshua (Ada) Dickens of Rogerville, Missouri; daughter, Jamie (Chris) Berry of Cuba, Missouri; brother, Roger (Frankie) Dickens; sister, Julie (Tim) Hale, both of Cuba, Missouri; mother-in-law, Sandra McGauly Simpson; brother-in-law, Hank (Cheryl) McGauly III of Imperial, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Laura (Jeff) Murray of Cuba, Missouri and Tammy (Darren) Dake of Steelville, Missouri; grandchildren, Hailey (fiancé Larry Rogers) Dickens, Alexus Reed, Brooklyn Dickens, all of Richland, Missouri, Alden Hughes, Owen Hughes, Bella Hughes, all of Rogerville, Missouri; Cameron Berry, Wyatt Berry, Abigail Berry, and John Swaller, all of Cuba, Missouri; great grandchild, Makenzlee Dickens of Richland, Missouri; other relatives and friends
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Jim Moore officiating.
    Burial was in the Dickens Hill Cemetery in Cuba, Missouri.
