David V. McCabe of Bourbon, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the age of 37 years.
As a young man, Dave enjoyed motocross, his ‘trick’ bicycle, and skateboarding.
Dave started a Lawn Mowing business using a S10 pickup and trailer to transport his equipment. He mowed lawns in Bourbon, Sullivan and Rolla, Missouri. When it was time for him to move on, he sold the business.
Summers he worked his regular job then hit the hay fields. Dave helped many friends with house remodeling and house building.
Dave started his career at Bourbon Roller Mill, then Unique Power Sports and then his lifetime career as a Journeyman Carpenter. He worked four years through the St. Louis Carpenters’ Union Journeyman Program. Dave rose through the ranks as a Carpenter, then Foreman and Superintendent. Working for Duggan Contracting, he traveled throughout the United States and Alaska constructing and remodeling certain aspects of Bass Pro Shops, and later Cabela’s.
Dave and Ambrosia Flinn were married in 2011. They bought and remodeled their first house in Bourbon, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by his son, Camren of West Virginia; parents, Kathy McCabe of Cushing, Iowa and Scott McCabe of Bourbon, Missouri; sister, Leslie McCabe of Hermitage, Tennessee; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.
