Friday is the final day to vote for St. James in the 2023 Small Town Showcase. The top five communities will be featured by the Missouri Humanities Council and voting ends July 1 at 11:59 p.m.
“We are now in third place and we have a town only 200 votes behind us,” Chamber of Commerce Director Kelly Money said. “We need to finish in the top five to be selected.”
The Chamber of Commerce is asking for the community who have not yet voted to take a few minutes to vote. The winner of the top five showcase will receive a three to five-minute video shot on site, an hour-long podcast, a feature in the bi-annual publication MoHumanities, and a highlight real, featuring all five communities, which will be shown during an annual gala.
Those wishing to vote can do so at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2mr3Qos_yB2U5NOsSoY163nemYimu7SyKchkb8d7yh6pRrw/viewform.
Each individual will only be allowed to vote once for five communities on the list. The more individuals who vote, the better the chance of St. James getting selected, so anyone who has voted is encouraged to share the information with others to help spread the word.
“We need to push our business list, text messages, and in person to get as much voting as possible. We have worked too hard to not finish strong,” Money said.
