Jacqueline Sue Hubbell

    Jacqueline Sue Hubbell of Bourbon, Missouri was born in Louisville, Kentucky on September 30, 1964 to William and Martha (Whittis) Duke and passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the age of 57 years.

    She grew up and attended school in Louisville and graduated from Iroquois High School, Class of 1982. She went on to attend the Sullivan Business college and receive her Associate Degree in Business Management.
    Jackie married Greg Hubbell on July 26, 1986.
    Greg enlisted in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. This is where they made their home for the next nine years while Greg was serving our country.
    After his time in the service ended, Greg and Jackie moved back to Louisville, Kentucky. Jackie was employed by Liberty Tax for a short time, then for the next 10 years, she worked in the Geography Department of the US Census Bureau.
    She later retired to become a wonderful housewife and homemaker. They would often make trips to Sullivan, Missouri to visit their long-time friends, the Harper family.
    Eventually, Greg and Jackie decided to move to Sullivan, Missouri in 2019 to make it their final home. Jackie would often times refer to Sullivan as her “safe haven.”
    She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha; and three brothers, Larry Corn, Roger Corn and Bobby Duke.
    She is survived by her husband, Greg Hubbell of Bourbon, Missouri; four nieces/daughters, Brittany Shorey and husband Stephen of Simpsonville, South Carolina, Ashley Pullen and husband Tyler of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Heather Dutton of Augusta, Georgia and Kendall Myers of Bourbon, Missouri; great nieces, Olivia, Brandi, Jaylen, Annie, Abbie, Allie and Landon; sister, Tina Burris of Brandenburg, Kentucky; other relatives and friends.
    Arrangements for cremation have taken place.
    A Celebration of Life was held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
