Earl Edward Dolisi of St. James, Missouri was born August 1, 1946 in Gardner, Kansas to Cecil Earl and Mandy Josephine Woods Dolisi and passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
He married Sharon Gillette Jones on July 7, 1999 in St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Emporia, Kansas.
Earl earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas. He taught in Wellsville, Kansas to begin his career as a teacher. He then taught math at St. Patrick Catholic School in Rolla, Missouri for 19 years and Linn State Technical College in Linn, Missouri for 15 years.
Earl enjoyed music and played saxophone with many bands both in Kansas and Missouri, the most recent being the Meramec Music Theater band at Steelville, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Kyle Edward Dolisi and wife Kelly of Nixa, Missouri; granddaughter, McKinley Everly Dolisi; step son, Eric Jones and wife Mimi of Fenton, Missouri; grandsons, Thomas, John, and Philip Jones of Fenton, Missouri; sister, Carole Ann Dolisi Beaver and husband Charles of Bella Vista, Arkansas; niece, Julie Leonard and husband Matt of Austin, Texas; great nephew, Kendall Leonard of Austin, Texas; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Father Greg Meystrik officiating.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022 at the Gardner Cemetery in Gardner, Kansas with Father Adam Wilczake officiating.
