Floyd “Wayne” Moore


    Floyd “Wayne” Moore also know as “Cowboy to his family and friends, was born in Santa Anna, California on October 2, 1941 to Floyd and Winifred (Pearce) Moore and  passed away on July 29, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 27 days.


    Floyd proudly served his country in the United State Navy.
    He spent much of his working life in the maintenance department at Doe Run, where he was finally able to retire after 37 years.
    On December 7, 1992 he married the former Norma Oster.
    Floyd and Norma had a little farm in Boss, Missouri that they called home. It was 40 acres of paradise, especially for Floyd an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt. He hunted every season, turkey, deer and squirrel. He also enjoyed mushroom hunting and gardening.
    He was a longtime member of the Viburnum Eagles Club and could be found at the club most Friday evenings playing pool, and most usually in his favorite “camo” clothing.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Winifred Moore.
    He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Norma Moore of the home; son, Kelly Moore and wife Diane of Radium Springs, New Mexico; daughter, Terry Sue Moore; step children, Bill Johnston and wife Debi of Eureka, California, Belinda Rellergert and husband Dave of Perryville, Missouri and Melissa Whaley and husband Jay of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri; brother, Dean Moore and wife Bessie of Spokane, Washington; sister, Linda Swyers of Steelville, Missouri; grandsons, Langdon Moore (Shelia), Hunter Moore and Colton Moore; step grandchildren, Gregory Rellergert, Jordan Rellergert, Cassi Daugette (Josh Petters), Josh Daugette, Kayla Johnston, Jana Perry (Mike) and Kirsten Johnston; other relatives and friends.
    As per his wishes Floyd was cremated and a private service will be held.
