Doyle David Teague

    Doyle David Teague was born on February 25, 1945 in Stone Hill, Missouri to William “Willie” Lee and Hattie Louise (Crabtree) Teague and passed away on July 30, 2022 at the age of 77 years.

    Doyle grew up in Stone Hill and graduated with the Class of 1963 from Bunker High School.
    Doyle married Carole Kay Martin on May 8, 1982, at her mother’s home in Cuba, Missouri.
    Doyle was a devoted family man who worked hard to provide for his family and support them in every way. In his younger years, he worked on the railroad near St. Louis. He later returned to Dent County and started working as a heavy equipment operator with Amax Lead Mines. Doyle retired from Doe Run after 39 years of dedication.
    A sports enthusiast, Doyle enjoyed watching all sports, but faithfully cheered for his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He has many fond memories playing baseball with his friends supporting a local team. Doyle was passionate about golfing and played in his leisure time. He loved music, playing his guitar, and singing.
    Doyle was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3422 of 51 years, holding many offices in the organization to include past president. He valued supporting charities near and dear to his heart such as diabetes and liver cancer research. Doyle was also a member of Sons of the American Legion for 25 years.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Hattie Teague; and sisters, Darlene Weible and Cynthia Inman.
    He is survived by his wife, Carole Teague of Salem, Missouri; sons, David Teague and wife Tina of Salem, Missouri and Justin Teague and wife Rhonda of St. James, Missouri; step daughters, Jennipher Sherrill of St. Cloud, Florida and Beth Sherrill of Orlando, Florida; brother, Dale Teague of the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; sister, Bonnie Murray of Sligo, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley, Mackenzie, Tyler, Lela, Dillon, Coty, Caitlin, and Caycee; great-grandchildren, Jaylani, Kolten, Brailynn, Tucker and Jerimiah; honorary daughter, Susan Farr; other relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 3, 2022 in the Wilson Mortuary Salem Chapel with Elder Dennis Burns officiating. A Presentation was done by the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Song selections played were “Church in the Wildwood” and “Old Rugged Cross.”
    Pallbearers were J Clark, Charlie Burnett, Farron Teague, Kevin Murray, Gary Ray Weible, and Greg Teague. Honorary pallbearers were Billie Ray Inman, Dennis Inman and Andrew Simpson.
    Burial was in the Stone Hill Cemetery.
    Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary of Salem, Missouri.
