Patricia “Patsy” Jean Clonts


    Patricia “Patsy” Jean (nee Longley) Clonts of Steelville, Missouri was born on Thursday, August 14, 1947 in Dallas, Texas to William “Bill” Dewey and Mildred “Marie” (nee Turner) Longley and passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 27 days.


    Patsy graduated from high school in Terrell, Texas.
    She married Gary Wayne Clonts on February 4, 1985 in Kaufman, Texas.
    Patsy worked as a ward clerk for Terrell State Hospital for 15 years.  After she and Gary were married, she worked as a director’s assistant for Rainbow Activity Center for seven years in Union, Missouri.  Patsy also waitressed and worked for River Mist in Steelville, Missouri.
    She loved to read and plant flowers.  She also enjoyed crocheting blankets, quilts and doing needlepoint.  
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Marie Longley; parents-in-law, Jess and Muriel Clonts; son, Noah Griffith; brothers, Billy Longley and Dewight Longley; and brothers-in-law, Lyle Edward “Eddie” (Carol Sue) Clonts and Joe Carl Clonts.
    She is survived by her husband, Gary Clonts of Steelville, Missouri; children, Traci Longley of Terrell, Texas, Nathan (Lynn) Griffith of Columbus, Nebraska and Katie Griffith-Stricklin of Cuba, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Heather Griffith of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Janet Kerby of Lebanon, Oregon, Carol (Sid) Hutson of Cuba, Missouri and Carol Jean Clonts of Sullivan, Missouri; grandchildren, Tyler McDaniel, Tana Shelton, Luther “Luke” Eiland, Jeffery Clark, Monique “Nikki” Jannings, Travis Stricklin, Rachel Griffith, Adam Griffith, Ryan Griffith, Madelyn Griffith and Emily Griffith; great grandchildren Kai, Kora, Hudson, Ellie and Eden; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.  
    Funeral was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.
    Burial at the Keysville Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri.
