MSHP has become a public nuisance

In my retirement, I’ve not been writing many letters to you, as I have in the past, but it appears I should have been, as Edmond Burke once said, “Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty,” and “all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing!”

Even in my old age of now 79 years, this is true! Earlier today, I needed to travel from my home near Steelville to Sullivan and usually use old Highway 66 rather than I-44. When coming into Bourbon I noticed at least a dozen Missouri State Highway Patrol cars at an intersection and assumed there must have been a bad accident, as there were several private vehicles lined up waiting to get through on all four roads coming into the intersection.
There was no accident! It was what they call a “safety check” in order to make sure all motorists are in compliance with Missouri government’s de facto, extra-constitutional regulatory revenue licensure schemes, and conduct “fishing expeditions” looking for illicit drugs or possibly drunken motorists at about 11:30 a.m.!
Knowing that the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) are not duly Missouri Constitutionally authorized “peace officers,” but merely statutorily authorized under Section 43, of Missouri Statutes, what the heck are they doing setting up a road block in the small city of Bourbon? By what expressly granted political power and authority granted under the Missouri Constitution are they conducting such overly intrusive, abusive infringement and encroachment upon Missouri motorists?
By doing so, they are making a mockery of the prescribed purpose & function of Missouri Government as prescribed in Article I, Sections, 1, 2, & 3 thereof which provides we Missourians are inherent holders of political power over all state government “…and police thereof.” Now let me ask you my fellow Missourians, have any of you granted these predatory, plundering, parasitic government armed thugs to monitor, control, and regulate us in such a manner which is the same as in socialist/communist soviet Russia? How much more of this tyranny and oppression are y’all going to tolerate?
The MSHP has become a public nuisance and needs to be abolished! Some of them can become lawful deputies in Missouri counties, the rest need to seek honest, productive work, and Missouri taxpayers will save half a billion and not be plagued with their predatory, plunder, parasitic practices in a futile attempt to justify their predatory. Plundering, parasitic existence!
