On behalf of the Tri-C Club, I would like to show my appreciation to all those who worked hard to make the 60th Cuba Fest on Route 66 such a success. Each year, Tri-C partners with the Cuba Arts Council (Taste of Cuba, wine and beer tent) and Viva Cuba (trolley and cemetery tours) to make the third weekend in October a special event for the community and beyond.
We could not do it without the help of the city of Cuba, the Cuba Chamber of Commerce, the library, and museum, all the businesses who provide events for young and old to enjoy, and the countless volunteers. This year, under the leadership of chair Traci Krygiel, some new events were added—the car cruise-in, the cornhole tournament, and the native American Circle Dancers which brought a lot of excitement to the weekend.
All the money made by the clubs during Cuba Fest will be used to further programs in the community.
