Charlene Kay Jones of St. James, Missouri was born March 20, 1956 to Charley Dee and Wanda Lea James and passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 66 years.
On March 5, 1977 she married Rick Jones. Rick and Kay are members of Landmark Baptist Church in Rolla, Missouri.
Kay loved the Lord. She loved to laugh, she brought laughter and joy to all she met. She loved playing with her grandkids and teaching them to never grow up and to try to be as goofy as her even when times are hard.
She enjoyed camping, crocheting, painting, and spoiling her dog, Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Wanda James; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darlene and Roy Jones; and niece, Jessica Brinker.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Rick Jones of St. James, Missouri; daughters, Crystal (Cash) Bliss of St. James, Missouri, Amanda (Chris) Newcom of Cuba, Missouri, and Shannon (Chris) Waldron of St. James, Missouri; brother, Mark (Susan) James of St. James, Missouri; sister Marsha (Mike) Brinker of St. James, Missouri; sister-in-law, Angela (Shane) Montgomery of Warrensburg, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Courtney Lynn (Alex) Harrop, Lexus Bliss (boyfriend Michael Spencer), Andrew Schneider (girlfriend Jerika McClure), Zoey Bliss, Joseph Bliss, Emily Kay Newcom, Connor Waldron and Cooper Waldron; four great grandchildren, Emmett Spencer, Johnathon Spencer, Thane Harrop and Chase Harrop; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Brother Marvin Jackson officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Debbie Hoffmeister, Brenda Smith, Susan James, Tracie Hurley and Debbie Firestine.
