Rosella Tutterrow


    Rosella Tutterrow of Owensville, Missouri, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri, was born on December 23, 1939 in Portageville, Missouri to Arthur and Frieda (Carson) Worley and passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at the age of 82 years.


    She grew up and attended school near Desoto, Missouri graduating with the Class of 1957 from Desoto High School.
    After graduation, Rosella moved with her family to St. Louis, Missouri where she meet Murell Tutterrow. The couple were married on November 15, 1958 in Richwoods, Missouri.
    While Murell worked different jobs, Rosella maintained the home and enjoyed being a homemaker and raising the family. After spending time in Pevely, Missouri, they moved to Bloomsdale, Missouri shortly after Murell’s retirement. In 2020, they moved to the Sullivan, Missouri area to be near family.
    Rosella was committed to her faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, she was devoted to her local church by being involved in: Sunday School teaching, helping with GMA, cooking in the kitchen and bringing kids to church and VBS. Rosella was fond of cooking, canning and gardening. Rosella also found great interest in all types of embroidery and sewing.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Frieda Worley; and a son-in-law, Bob Johnson.
    She is survived by her husband, Murell; children, Gene Tutterrow and wife Debbie of Owensville, Missouri, Cheryl Johnson of Bourbon, Missouri and Cathy Johnston and husband Bob of Blackwell, Missouri; three brothers, Art “Bud” Worley of Robertsville, Missouri, Bob Hinton of Desloge, Missouri and Aubrey Worley and wife Jan of St. Louis Missouri; sister, Joann Brown and husband Earl of Leadwood, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Eaton Funeral Home of Sullivan, Missouri with Pastors David Wright and Danny Wisely officiating.
    Burial followed at the Cave Spring Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri.
