Darrell Lee Dunn

    Darrell Lee Dunn of Rolla, Missouri was born March 16, 1949 in Lecoma, Missouri to James Virgil and Juanita Evelyn (Chrisco) Dunn and passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 13 days.

    Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from 1966-1969.
    Darrell married Susan Arthur on June 4, 1983.
    Darrell was a collector of sorts, he loved a good yard sale, flea market, or auction, living by the motto “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.” He was known in his neighborhood as the neighborhood watcher.
    He enjoyed going to the McDonald’s drive up, where most of the time he would pay for the car behind him.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Juanita Dunn; wife, Sue in 2017; and one sister, Alma Elizabeth “Betsy” Dunn.
    He is survived by his step children, Samra Norris and husband Tracy, of Rolla, Missouri and Bruce Lineback and wife Faith of Vichy, Missouri; grandchildren, Travis Norris (Abbi), Meghan Castel (Jacob), Deborah Spicer and Justin Lineback (Kelsie); great grandchildren, Braxton Ahart, Makenna Norris, Dylan Fowler, Madilyn Spicer and Mason Spicer; siblings, Carole Kelly of Rancho Mirage, California, Jim Dunn of Rolla, Missouri, Susan Smith and fiancé Larry Moran of Troy, Missouri, Evelyn (Bobby) Mathis of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Harold Dunn of Ballwin, Missouri, Lorraine (Steven) Landers of Edgar Springs, Missouri and Bill Dunn of Rolla, Missouri; special friend and caregiver, Christy Cox of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
    Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Rolla Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at 1 p.m.  on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Rolla Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri with Patrick Wilson officiating.
    Burial was in the Rhea Cemetery with full military honors.
