Hazel Marie McIntosh

    Hazel Marie McIntosh of St. James, Missouri was born June 30, 1925 in Phelps County, Missouri to Roy and Minnie Carter Beeman and passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

    She married Ben L. McIntosh on July 12, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri.
    Hazel loved celebrating holidays and family events. She enjoyed quilting, painting  and her flower gardens.
    After retiring, she volunteered at the Golden Age Center.
    She loved traveling. Her travels took across the United States and all over the world, even the Holy Land.
    She and her sister, Lena were members of a local bowling league for several years.
    She worked at General Electric for 17 years as an inspector. After working as an inspector, she worked at Christian Hospital Northeast as a nurse assistant for eight years.
    She was a member of the St. James Church of Christ.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben L. McIntosh who passed away February 16, 1974; three brothers, Clarence, Alfred and Jim Beeman; and three sisters, Olive Isgrig, Lena Breuer and Gladys Crain.
    She is survived by her son, Bryan McIntosh and wife Kathleen of St. Charles, Missouri; daughter, Joy Hicks and husband Dennis of St. James, Missouri; three grandchildren, Erica Bailey, Justin Sanford and Benjamin Sanford; great grandchildren, Keylee, Kynzlie and Kaleb; other relatives annd friends.
    Visitation was held from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
    Funeral services were held at noon on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Bro. Lynn Huggins officiating. Pallbearers were family and friends.  
    Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in St. James, Missouri.
