Mercy co-workers will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, effective Sept. 30.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, a premiere law enforcement agency, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of commercial vehicle officer. The Patrol is encouraging qualified individuals of all backgrounds to apply and will offer testing/interviews at General Headquarters in Jefferson City, Missouri.
“I feel that this budget—I have looked it over, worked it through many, many times—and I feel confident in this budget that we can stay within our means,” said Steelville City Comptroller Roben Griggs, when she presented the annual budget for approval to the city council on June 21.
On Monday, the St. James City Council approved a contract with MoGas Pipeline LLC, for pipeline reservation of natural gas for eight years. In the contract, both parties agreed to decrease the rate from $29.50 per dekatherm per month to $28.53 per dekatherm per month over the life of the contract.
The St. James City Council has amended a food truck ordinance it held a first reading on in May, removing the need for a permit buyer to provide a menu and changing some of the ordinance language for clarity. After hearing concerns from one food truck owner earlier this year, the council agreed to change portions of the ordinance.
