A Steelville man was killed Saturday when his vehicle overturned on a Washington County road.
At the July 7 Steelville City Council meeting, recently elected Alderman Duane DeRennaux provided an extensive report of issues found at the Community Park when he and counterpart Tamra Cape conducted a walk-through of the facility. The two were named by the mayor as the council members to sit on the parks committee.

Steelville Public Works Supervisor Jason Evans presented a proposed asphalt schedule for the current fiscal year at the city council meeting held on July 7. The schedule included groupings of streets that are near one another, and Evans plans to get pricing on the groups to determine which the city will be able to pave this year.
Graduates of the Steelville High School Class of 2020 have received a total of $172,250 in scholarships to further their education.
