Huddle House getting new owners

            Huddle House in Cuba, which is located along Highway 19 just north of Interstate 44, will soon be under new ownership. After 20 years in business, the Britton family has announced they have decided to sell the restaurant.

Teachers speak for, against four-day week

           About 90 Cuba residents, many of them teachers and other school employees, gathered in the Middle School gym on Thursday, November 3, to share their thoughts on a proposed four-day school week starting with the 2023-24 school year. The Cuba School Board is expected to make a decision on the matter during a meeting set for this Thursday, November 10, at 5 p.m.

Citizens address several concerns with council

            Four Cuba residents appeared before the Cuba City Council during its meeting on November 1 to voice several concerns. The issues include traffic safety, electrical maintenance, and a nuisance violation.

Dildine joining Cuba Police Department

            For the first time since 2012, the city of Cuba is going to have a Dildine serving in its Police Department. During its meeting on November 1, the Cuba City Council approved hiring former Chief Bo Dildine’s son as a patrol officer.

Marching Wildcats win at Missouri State

Congratulations to the Cuba High School band and drill team for their wins on Saturday, October 28, at the Missouri State University Homecoming parade. This was their last competition of the season, and they took first in their class and two overall awards, including Outstanding Precision and Outstanding Musical Sound, and had the high score of the morning so they also placed first overall.
