Bourbon man charged with sodomy

            A Bourbon man is in jail following charges of sodomy filed against him last month.

Routes announced for bike race

            Organizers of the Meramec Gravel bike race, which will be held in Bourbon on September 17, recently announced the routes for the race. It will feature rides of 20, 50, and 100 miles.

Heritage Day scheduled in Bourbon

                  The Bourbon Community Foundation met at the Bremer Hardware round table on August 15 for the regular meeting. The main topic for discussion was the 3rd Bourbon Heritage Day. The special day was not held the past two years due to the pandemic.

Bourbon council discusses water and wastewater improvements

           The Bourbon City Council heard an update on the city’s water and wastewater systems given by Lead Project Engineer Kyle Landwehr during a meeting on August 17. Landwehr informed the council of some of the findings discovered during the study and provided answers as to what the next steps are to fix the issues.

Bourbon students will see changes this week

            Bourbon students returned to class on Tuesday and when they did, they might have noticed several improvements that were made during the summer break. Some are obvious, but others not so much.
