Felony charges have been filed in connection with a domestic shooting incident on Lick Creek Road, near the Village of Leasburg. Caleb Riley Gaston, 30, of Leasburg, has been charged with four felonies: class B felony assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, class B felony burglary in the first degree, and class D felony unlawful possession of a firearm. Investigators say Gaston threatened to kill a relative and was shot with a handgun as a result of that dispute. His injuries from a single gunshot to the chest were not fatal.

Two guys doing donuts in the middle of a Leasburg intersection caught the attention of a state trooper on June 29. His subsequent investigation led to felony gun and drug charges against both men and a woman, too.
