Council heard update on water issues

    Billy Bowers, of Alliance Water Resources, gave the St. James city council an update on recent water main breaks, two of which led to boil advisories. He also outlined what steps are being taken to improve the system to help when breaks occur.

High school holds virtual Veterans Day assembly

    Students at the John F. Hodge High School held a virtual Veterans assembly on November 11. Sargent Kyle Lunceford was guest speaker for the event, which also featured patriotic music, speeches from students, and a salute to all local veterans who served their country.

MVH honors veterans

    The Missouri Veterans Home-St. James honored local veterans and residents living at the facility on Thursday, November 11, with a short ceremony to mark Veterans Day. While the facility is still following COVID-19 protocols, the event was broadcast live so family members and the community could participate.

Master Naturalists work to restore glade at St. James Park

    Members of the Master Naturalist class worked on Saturday to restore a natural glade at the St. James Park. The class has been working for the past several years on the project to restore a section of the glade and maintain it to keep invasive plants out of the area.

Treatments with Tina Medspa holds grand opening

    The St. James Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Treatments with Tina Medspa with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday. The business, located at 127 East James Boulevard, is now accepting appointments to meet client’s needs.
