If you haven’t already heard, the Vintage Market fundraiser sale will be held this October 23-24 at Columbia College, and all proceeds will be donated to The Rolla Mission who provides support and services to a variety of people experiencing hardships in our community, by offering free meals and a free laundromat year-round, as well as an emergency shelter in the winter.

Anyone who has experienced flooding may have also cleaned out basements filled with sewage and water, torn out wet drywall and carpeting, or replaced water heaters and furnaces. The following inexpensive mitigation measures may make these damages a thing of the past.
The Phelps County Commission has received $5,229,302 in federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic (CARES) Act, and is now ready to begin accepting applications from cities, political subdivisions and public agencies for reimbursable COVID-19 expenses that they have incurred, beginning March 1, 2020. The county can reimburse costs up to Dec. 30. Any funds not spent must be returned to the U.S. Treasury.

Phelps County does not have a building codes program that requires a permit. However, you may need a floodplain development permit if you are planning construction or substantial improvements to a structure located in a floodplain within Phelps County. This includes rehab work to homes that have been flooded.
