When representatives from Phelps Health, anticipating a shortage of protective masks due to the coronavirus outbreak, needed help, students, faculty and staff at Missouri University of Science and Technology answered by harnessing the power of technology and ingenuity.
The Phelps County Assessor’s office is closing to the public as of Monday. The office issued the following release on March 21.
Phelps Health's drive-through respiratory screening station will be open over the weekend from 8 a.m. to midnight. These hours will remain the same until further notice.
The Piece and Plenty Quilt Guild recognizes National Quilt Day celebrated the third Saturday in March each year, by donating a baby quilt to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla. The staff at the hospital will then present the quilt to the first baby born, at the hospital, on or after National Quilt Day in March.
