Two Cuba Lady Wildcats competed in last weekend’s track sectional qualifier for the state championships held at Carthage High School.
Cuba High School baseball closed out the 2018 season with a first-round loss to Hermann in the Class 3, District 9 playoff tournament on Friday, May 11. The Bearcats defeated Cuba 7-1 in their tournament opener, ending Cuba’s season and sending Hermann on to face top-seeded South Callaway in the second round on Monday.
The Cuba Lady Wildcats will send two athletes on to the track sectionals this weekend, following the Class 3, District 5 track and field meet held at St. James High School on Saturday.
Jacob Bouse pitched the Cuba Wildcats to a 4-3 varsity victory at New Haven on April 30, to help put a stop to a Wildcat losing streak.
Cuba golfers advanced to the sectional golf competition after finishing second as a team in district play. No Wildcats advanced out of the district meet held on Monday, but Connor Kight came as close as you can get, finishing one stroke out of the state qualifier.
