The Cuba Ladycats are off to a solid start in their quest for a Gasconade Valley Conference title in 2018, defeating Bourbon and Viburnum this week to go 2-0 in conference play.

Softball girls open season with a W, lose at Rolla the following day

The Cuba Lady Wildcats finished their first week of fall softball with a home win and a road loss. The Lady Cats defeated New Haven to open the season schedule on August 27, but dropped a game the following afternoon at Rolla.

There were ups and downs in the first week of the Cuba Ladycat volleyball season. The varsity girls lost matches against Linn and Houston, but they were able to secure a huge win at home over New Haven.

After participating in a preseason scrimmage against three other schools at Festus last week, the Cuba Wildcats are ready to put on the pads and play football that counts. The Cats will go under the Friday night lights at home this week, taking on the Herculaneum Blackcats at 7 p.m. at the Wildcat Field of Pride.
