CHS girls split pair of nonconference games

    The Cuba High School varsity girls basketball team earned a home victory over New Haven last week but then went on the road and lost to Mountain View Liberty. The Lady Wildcats are now 8-12 as they head into the final week of the regular season.

Lady Wildcats take road loss at Salem

    After getting last week off due to the weather, the Cuba High School girls basketball teams traveled to Salem Monday night looking to end a three-game losing streak. The varsity Lady Wildcats suffered their fourth straight loss, however, and now stand at 7-11.

CHS boys can’t climb above .500

    The Cuba High School varsity boys basketball team had an opportunity to break the .500 mark when they traveled to St. Clair on February 1 but came up on the short end of a 52-34 final score. The Wildcats are 10-11.

Lady Wildcats fall to Steelville, Eldon - PHOTO GALLERY

    The Cuba varsity Lady Wildcats were hoping to climb above the .500 mark for the first time this season last week but dropped games against Steelville and Eldon. The Lady Cats now stand at 7-10 for the season.

Wildcats go 1-1 in GVC play

    The Cuba Wildcats got a victory in Viburnum but couldn’t get another in Vienna as they played a pair of Gasconade Valley Conference games last week. The varsity Cats are now 10-10 overall and 1-2 in GVC play with games remaining against Belle and Bourbon.
