Quarantines having big impact on CHS boys

    If there is a winner so far in the 2020-21 Cuba High School boys basketball season, then it has to be the coronavirus. The ongoing pandemic has not only kept the Wildcats from being able to practice normally, but has also led the cancelation of one game and the postponement of two others.
    “Well, it has been a challenging first three weeks of our season so far,” Head Coach Brett Joseph said.

CHS opening basketball games delayed

    The Cuba High School basketball teams will be hosting a local jamboree on Thursday, November 19, but attendance is going to be strictly limited. Both teams were scheduled to open their regular seasons on Saturday, but the early part of their schedules is already being impacted by COVID-19.

    The Cuba and Bourbon middle school girls basketball teams squared off for both squads final game of the season at Bourbon High School on November 3. The teams played just one eighth-grade game with the Lady Wildcats coming out on top 31-26.

CMS boys drop third-place game at Bland tourney

    The Cuba Middle School eighth-grade boys basketball team reached the third-place game at last week’s Bland tournament, but came up short in their final game. The Wildcats opened play with a win over Licking, but then lost to Vienna and Steelville.
