The Bourbon High School basketball season came to a close for both the boys and girls teams in the first round of the Class 3 District 4 tournament that is being played in St. James this week. The girls lost to St. James, while the boys were upset by Cuba.
The Bourbon Warhawks hosted Vienna in Gasconade Valley Conference action last Friday night. During the varsity game, which the Warhawks won 70-61, junior Aaron Farris (#23) scored his 1,000th career point. He led the Warhawks with 34 points and now has 1,022 points, which is ninth on the BHS all-time scoring list.
On Saturday, February 9, the Bourbon Lady Warhawks will take on the Viburnum Lady Blue Jays with game time of 5:30. This night will be a night to help raise money for senior Faith Skaggs.
The Bourbon High School boys’ basketball team finished second at the Principia tournament last week. The varsity Warhawks are now 5-2 on the season.
Three Bourbon High School players, (from left) Alexis Tackett, Morgan Louderman, and Ashlyn Lewis, have earned post-season honors on this year’s all-conference and all-district volleyball teams.
