Missouri State Parks and Mid-Continental Library host Black Baseball and Black History virtual program June 17

Missouri State Parks and Mid-Continental Library invite the public to attend the Black Baseball and Black History virtual program at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17. The program will be held virtually as a Zoom meeting and is part of the Show-Me Kansas City: A Missouri Bicentennial Lecture Series.  

International swine experts to speak at Midwest Boar Stud Managers Conference

The 2021 Midwest Boar Stud Managers Conference lineup includes experts on swine reproduction from Europe and the United States, said University of Missouri Extension swine specialist Tim Safranski.

Library moving to Evergreen system

    The James Memorial Public Library (JMPL) is moving to a new online system aimed at adding more books for readers as well as making it easier for patrons to manage their accounts. JMPL is moving from Destiny to Missouri Evergreen and closed for a week in May to begin re-barcoding its collection.

Tiger Shark Waterpark set to open

    The Tiger Shark Waterpark will officially open on June 3, after being delayed a few days due to inclement weather. The facility is planning a full summer of activities and staff are training this week in preparation.
