A new report from the financial technology firm SmartAsset ranks Missouri University of Science and Technology as the best value among Missouri universities and tops when it comes to graduates’ average starting salaries.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held at the site of a new proposed covered pickleball and half basketball court in St. James on Friday, July 9. Located at 110 West Washington Street, the facilities are being built by the Underwood Family Foundation, which purchased the property from the city earlier this year.
It’s fair week in Crawford County and this year’s event brings a full slate of activities and concerts back to the fairgrounds at Hood Park in Cuba.
The theme for the 74th annual fair is “Sew It, Grow It, Show It,” and it kicked off on Sunday, July 11, with barn clean-up and queen talent practice in preparation for the week.
