Unemployment rates increased in May across region

    Missouri non-farm payroll employment increased from April 2021 to May 2021, but the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by a tenth of a percentage point. The unemployment rates also increased slightly in both Crawford and Phelps counties.

Council moves to finish new budget

    The Cuba Board of Alderman met to wrap up the remaining items for the budget for this fiscal year on June 21, when they agreed on a $1 raise for all Public Works employees and a 1.3 percent cost-of-living raise for all Police Department employees.
