The Bourbon Middle School track teams competed in the eight-team St. James MS Open on April 3. The boys finished fifth, while the girls came in eighth.
Cuba High School hosted its first track and field meet of the spring season under blue skies on Tuesday, March 26. The Wildcat boys finished seventh out of eight teams in the CHS Relays, while the Cuba Lady Cats placed fifth out of nine schools in the women’s division.
The Bourbon High School track teams competed in the Cuba High School Relays on March 26. The boys finished last in an eight-team field with 18.5 points, while the girls came in eighth among nine teams with eight points.
The Bourbon High School baseball team had two games scheduled last week, but only managed to play one due to the weather. The home game against Kingston on March 25 was rained out and the Warhawks lost in Vienna on March 27.
Despite being about a half a dozen girls short due to injuries, the Steelville High School Lady Cardinals capture first place at the Cuba Relays on March 26. The SHS boys were second. The Steelville girls won the meet with 127 points, finishing ahead of second-place Salem with 119. St. James came in third with 99. There were nine girls teams at the meet.
The Steelville High School golf team opened its 2019 in style on March 21, defeating both Crocker and Belle in a match played at Ft. Leonard Wood. The Cardinals also played in Salem on March 26 and came in fourth in a six-team field.
