The fifth-seeded St. James High School baseball team ended its season Friday, May 14 with a 3-2 heartbreaking loss to fourth-seeded Salem in the first round of the Missouri Class 4 District 9 Tournament.
Sophomore Wilson McDaniel of the St. James High School golf team was among 11 players tied for 28th place with 13-over-par 85 after Monday’s first round in the Missouri Class 3 State Tournament, being held at Crown Pointe Golf Course in Farmington.
The seventh-seeded St. James High School soccer team saw its season come to an end with an 8-0 loss to second-seeded North County Saturday, May 15 in first-round action of the Missouri Class 2 District 1 Tournament at Bonne Terre.
The Cuba Wildcats reached the final of the district baseball tournament on Monday with a 7-5 victory over West County in the semifinals. The championship game is scheduled for Thursday, May 20, at 4:30 p.m.
The Lady Wildcats earned all-district honors and will send qualifiers on to the sectional meet in six events during Saturday’s Class 3 District 5 meet at Owensville High School. The top four in each event moved on to the Class 3 Sectional 3 meet, which will be held Saturday, May 22, at Camdenton.
Cuba High School senior Brining Mulkey qualified for the state golf finals during last week’s Class 2 District 1 tournament at Eagle Springs Golf Course in St. Louis.
