The Bourbon High School track, baseball, and softball seasons have come to a close. No Warhawks qualified for the state track finals at Saturday’s sectional meet and both the baseball and softball teams lost in the first round of their district tournament.
Linn squeezed past Cuba in a battle between two evenly-matched Wildcat teams paired in the first round of the Class 3, District 9 postseason baseball tournament.

Three athletes from the Cuba High School track and field team earned all-district honors and the opportunity to advance to the sectional track competition this weekend. Simon Siebert is an all-district runner in the 800 meters, Madison Mallady earned all-district in the 100 meter dash, and Kiyah Bast is an all-district javelin thrower.
The Bourbon High School baseball team has been seeded seventh for the Class 3 District 9 tournament, which will be held in Cuba May 10-15.
The Bourbon Middle School track teams closed out their season at the 13-team Cuba Middle School Invitational on April 29. Both squads finished ninth, while Steelville won the boys and girls meet.
