Cuba father and son go Beast Mode at public land archery hunt

Beast tactics can mean different things to different people in various parts of the country. To me, using extreme tactics to get deeper or tucked away in secretive spots has been a significant contributor in my evolution as a hunter. In early November 2018, my fellow Beast, 16-year-old son TJ, and I set out for a new challenge on a new piece of public ground three hours away from home.

The varsity Cuba Wildcats split a pair of home conference games last week. After picking up a lopsided victory over Viburnum on Tuesday, the Cuba boys lost to Vienna in Friday night’s basketball courtwarming game.

    The Steelville High School varsity girls basketball team finally opened Gasconade Valley Conference (GVC) play last week and got a victory over Vienna, but lost to Belle. The defeat came just one week after the Lady Cardinals had beaten the Tigers at the Fatima tournament.

    The Steelville High School boys basketball teams earned a sweep over Crocker at home on January 17. It was one of the biggest wins for the varsity boys, who are now 11-2, as they defeated the Lions 90-21.
