Two runners from Cuba High School and one from Bourbon competed in the Missouri Cross Country State Championships in Columbia on Saturday. It was a Steelville runner, however, who turned in the best performance in their school’s history.
The Cuba Middle School boys traveled to Bourbon on November 1 and won a pair of games.
Bourbon High School had one player named to this year’s Class 2 District 8 volleyball team.
Coming off the program’s sixth Final Four appearance, the St. James Lady Tigers have the yearning to get back there again.
And the Lady Tigers seem to have the talent to certainly make another run.
With a core that has been together at the varsity level for four years, the St. James Tiger boys are expected to do some positive things this season.
St. James is coming off a season in which it finished 15-13 overall, tied for second place in the Four Rivers Conference race at 5-2 and advanced to the district tournament finals.
The St. James Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball team improved its record to 15-0 by beating Steelville 52-23 Thursday, Oct. 27.
