A third-place finish by sophomore Vanessa Perona in the girls’ race highlighted the day for the St. James High School cross country team at the Belle Invitational, held Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Belle City Park.
The St. James High volleyball team took seventh out of 10 teams in the Megan Gross Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25 in Warrenton. St. James played in eight matches, going 2-6 on the day.
The Bourbon High School volleyball teams drop matches against a pair of Gasconade Valley Conference opponents last week. The JV also hosted its annual tournament and advance out of pool play before finishing fourth.
The varsity Lady Wildcats volleyball team got a big Gasconade Valley Conference win over Belle last week and the junior varsity went to the Bourbon JV Tournament on Saturday and returned home with the championship. The varsity is now 3-1 in GVC play.
Cuba High School sophomore Kaylee Fulliam earned her first individual first-place finish of the season at the Belle Invitational Cross Country Meet on September 23. Brett Payne also took first for the Bourbon Middle School boys.
The Cuba High School varsity softball team traveled to the Richland tourney on Saturday and came home with two wins in three games. The Lady Wildcats beat Crocker and Richland but fell to Vienna.
