Two CHS runners will compete at the state cross country meet

Melayna Brown and Logan Ray have been the top runners on the Cuba High School cross country team all year long, consistently having the best race finish times for the CHS girls and boys teams. Their hard work paid dividends on Saturday, as the two runners both qualified for the state cross country meet by running well in the Class 2, District 5 competition that was held at St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington.

Cats defeat Panthers in rematch 28-13, will play Lutheran North in district semis

The Cuba Wildcats will advance to the semifinals of the Class 2, District 2 football playoffs after getting revenge against the Principia Panthers in a quarterfinal rematch last weekend.

Winter practices begin

    The St. James High School wrestling team jumped into the 2019-20 campaign by christening its new wrestling room with the first practice of the season after school on Monday. The STJ boys and girls basketball teams, however, had to wait another day to return to his home court.

Eighth graders finish unbeaten season - PHOTO GALLERY

    Last week was another one swept by the St. James Middle School Lady Tigers as the eighth grade closed out their undefeated season with wins over St. Clair and Steelville. The eighth grade took their first game of the week 70-2 over St. Clair and also defeated Steelville 52-9. Kori Alcorn scored over 30 points in both games.

Three named to all-FRC volleyball teams

    Three members of the St. James High School volleyball squad have been named to the All Four-Rivers Conference Team, it was announced last week.
    Lady Tiger junior middle blocker Hannah Marcee was named to the All-FRC First-Team.

Tigers run at district cross country meet

    The St. James High School cross country team ended its season in the Missouri Class 3 District 5 Meet Saturday, Nov. 2 in Washington.
