St. James Middle School wrestling is about to begin their most exciting season ever. They are opening the season November 20 by hosting a quad match at the middle school.
November 19 opens the St. James Middle School boys’ basketball season in Steelville. Coaches Bri Hodge and Lincoln Redburn have been getting the teams ready with early morning practices.
The St. James High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams found out last week their new district tournament groupings, and there are several familiar opponents in the field, although no Four-Rivers Conference foes. And, once again, the Tigers wrestlers will have their hands full with a competitive district.
Josh Rodriguez would no doubt like to have a couple of early-season games back that could have been victories had his squad held on to the ball, but the first-year St. James High School football head coach was overall pleased with the 2018 campaign.
Seven members of the St. James High School football team have been selected to the all Four-Rivers Conference Team, it was announced last week.
Steelville High School had two all-state runners at last year’s Missouri Cross Country Championships, and the Cardinals repeated that feat on Saturday. And for one Cardinal, it was a fourth straight all-state performance in the state meet.
