The Steelville Middle School track teams brought home three first-place plaques last week. The boys and girls both won the Cuba Middle School Relays on April 10, while the boys took first and the girls second at Viburnum on April 8.
The Steelville High School track teams were busy last week with three meets in Union, Cuba, and Owensville. The girls won the Cuba meet, while the boys took second, and Garrett Tolly set a new boys record in the javelin at Union.
The St. James High School baseball team dropped a 7-2 decision to Union in Four-Rivers Conference play Monday at Nelson Hart Park. The Tigers finished 2-1 in games last week, including a 1-1 mark in FRC play.

Three first place wins were earned by the St. James Middle School track team at a meet in Owensville on April 11. The boys team took second out of 10 teams competing, while the girls team took fifth out of 12 teams.
The Cuba Wildcats dropped a pair of road games last week before returning home to Paul Bryan Field, where they knocked off the Vienna Eagles in a Gasconade Valley Conference matchup.
