Team is fourth, two Tigers earn all-conferene golf honors

    The St. James High School golf team placed fourth in the Four-Rivers Conference Tournament, held Tuesday, April 23 at the Sullivan Country Club.
    Host Sullivan was the tournament team champion, shooting 355. Runner-up was Union with 369, third St. Clair with 373 and St. James fourth with 393.

Conway wins four events at FRC meet

    Senior Grant Conway was the individual star of the meet, sweeping to victory in all four of his events to help the St. James High School boys’ track team place fifth in the Four-Rivers Conference Track Meet, held Monday, April 29 at Union High School.

More SJMS records set

    More records were broken by the St. James Middle School track team at Waynesville on April 22. Blake Redburn has the new log jump record of 19'8.5” and first place. Silas Redburn broke the 800m record with his run of 2:14.75, taking second place. Livi Herrin has the new triple jump record for the girls a 31'7”, and Alexis Barks broke the hurdle record again with 17.60.

SHS track teams with third straight GVC titles

The only question headed into Saturday’s Gasconade Valley Conference track meet in Cuba wasn’t whether the Steelville High School Cardinals and Lady Cardinals would win the GVC titles for the third year in a row, but by how much. As it turned out—a lot!

SMS boys win meets at St. James and Vienna

    The Steelville Middle School boys won a pair of track meets at St. James and Vienna last week. The Lady Cardinals finished second in both.
    The Cardinals won a close contest at St. James on Friday with 179.5 points, while St.  James finished second with 159.5. Licking was third in the nine-team field with 83.
