The SHS Lady Cardinals softball team went into district tournament play Monday with a 6-6 record after dropping three straight games at home last week against district opponents. The Lady Cardinals fell to Park Hills Central, Potosi, and Ste. Genevieve.
The Steelville Middle School boys finished second and the girls fourth at a 10-team meet on Friday, April 30, in St. James, where Cameron Brown broke the SMS high jump record and Erica Edgar brook the 100-meter dash record.
After having the high school St. James Invitational washed out by the weather Thursday, April 29, the sun came out Friday, April 30 for the St. James Middle School Invitational.
The St. James High School soccer team played to a 1-1 overtime tie with Fatima Saturday, May 1 in the third-place game of the Owensville Tournament.
Fatima took a 1-0 halftime lead and the Lady Tigers tied things up in the second half, forcing overtime.
The St. James High School baseball squad went to Waynesville and posted a 5-1 non-conference victory over Waynesville High Monday, May 3.

The Cuba High School boys and girls competed at the Gasconade Valley Conference Track Meet Saturday in Bourbon, where senior Kiyah Bast broke the conference discus record and helped the Lady Wildcats to a second-place finish. The boys came in third.
