HHS awards $27,732,175 to Missouri in response to COVID-19

Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), awarded $27,732,175 to 29 health centers in Missouri as part of a historic U.S. response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Health center awardees in Missouri may use these funds to help their communities detect coronavirus; prevent, diagnose, and treat COVID-19; and maintain or increase health capacity and staffing levels to address this public health emergency.

Blunt announces $27.7 million in coronavirus response grants for 29 Missouri Community Health Centers

Today, U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.), co-chair of the Senate Community Health Center Caucus, announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $27 million in coronavirus response grant funding to 29 Missouri community health centers (CHCs). The funding will help CHCs meet staffing needs, and prevent, diagnose, and treat coronavirus patients.

In today’s COVID-19 briefing, Governor Mike Parson announced that the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations’ (DOLIR) Division of Employment Security (DES) has received its first operational guidance related to the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020.

Missouri Services Navigator helps Missourians in need instantly find essential services

Missourians in need can find essential services, such as nearly 240 food pantries, food banks, school meal programs for students, diaper banks, and more through the online Missouri Services Navigator system. The Services Navigator offers instant access to programs and services available in Missouri.  There are currently over 2,000 services listed, with new services added daily. Searches can be keyword, location, and/or service. Every program and service contains a map of the location as well as contact information.
