No reports of spotted lanternfly in Missouri but vigilance urged

While not yet detected in Missouri, spotted lanternfly remains a concern for vineyards, certain trees and specialty crops as it continues to spread west.

Department of Agriculture announces Missouri specialty crop funding

The Missouri Department of Agriculture is now accepting proposals for funding through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. The Department received SCBG Covid Stimulus-PPE funds from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Interested specialty crop producers working to respond to Covid-19 impacts should submit their application by May 16, 2022.

            FFA members from across the state will meet in Columbia, April 21-22, at the 94th Missouri FFA Convention to honor fellow members for outstanding achievements, conduct association business, elect new officers and participate in leadership workshops.

SAFHR program helps homeowners

            MO State Assistance For Housing Relief for Homeowners is a federally funded program as part of the American Rescue Plan Act Homeownership Assistance Fund that helps homeowners keep their home by helping to catch up on mortgage payments.  It covers liens on their primary residence, and funds are paid directly to the lender or mortgage servicer.
