BAYADA Home Health Care has acquired Integrity Home Care Pediatric Services

    BAYADA Home Health Care and Integrity Home Care recently announced that BAYADA has acquired Integrity’s pediatrics division. BAYADA is a leading, national home care agency serving children, adults, and seniors from more than 350 offices in 22 states. Integrity is one of Missouri’s largest home care agencies, providing a wide range of home care, hospice, and rehabilitation services to clients throughout the state.

MBSH offers tips for those at risk of diabetes and diabetic foot ulcers

    An estimated 30.3 million people in the United States (9.4 percent of the population) have diabetes, including million who are unaware they are living with the disease. The percentage of adults with diabetes increases with age, reaching a high of 25.2 percent among those aged 65 years or older. In addition to age, risk factors for diabetes also include diet, activity level, obesity and heredity.

MBSH Ambassadors assist with Backpack Snack program

    Members from Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital Ambassadors have scheduled some of their regular meetings to assist in the packaging of food for children in food-insecure homes.  Teachers and counselors from the Sullivan Elementary and Primary schools select children who they feel would most benefit from the program.

Minimum wage rate set for private employers for 2019 wage rate in effect Jan. 1

The Missouri Department of Labor announces the state minimum wage rate for 2019 has been established, according to state law, at $8.60, effective January 1, 2019.
