Local pastor announces new outreach program to council

    Alderman Warren Graddy was sworn in during the Cuba City Council’s meeting on July 9. The Board of Alderman met in an open session last Thursday to discuss several new items of business and swear in the incumbent alderman after his victory in the polls on Tuesday.

Cuba Summer School safety guidelines announced

    In what will be a trial for a full return to school in late August, the Cuba School District will be opening its summer school on Monday, July 13. The program, which runs through August 12, will follow extensive safety guidelines in hopes of keeping students and staff members safe from the coronavirus.

Cuba High School prom canceled

    Cuba High School is moving ahead with plans to hold graduation for the Class of 2020 on July 25, but prom has officially been canceled. Officials had hoped to make graduation a two-day celebration with prom planned for Friday, July 24.

ABC Investments owner planning changes, memorabilia auction

    ABC Investments, a well-known mom-and-pop retail business at 408 S. Franklin Street in Cuba, is getting a face lift. Owner and operator Darlene Mullen is switching things up at the small shop.
