Next city marshal to be paid $60k, plus benefits

No matter who wins the city marshal election in April, he will be paid $60,000 per year for his entire four-year term of office, along with receiving the full benefits entitled to City of Cuba employees.

Animal Control’s Facebook page taken down, but now back up again

After having its Facebook page removed for a week, Cuba Animal Control’s page is back on the social media platform again. The Cuba MO Animal Control page mysteriously disappeared overnight last week, leaving the animal shelter without its main online hub for sharing information related to animal adoptions. Until the matter was resolved on Wednesday, the shelter used an alternate Facebook page for sharing its animals available for adoption.

Cuba High School students celebrated Basketball Courtwarming 2018 on Friday, February 2, by crowning a new senior king and queen of the court. Chase Franke and Kaleigh Bright took the crowns that night, following a vote of the student body. Senior class girls Ronnie LaRue and Loren Ransom were crowned the first and second runners-up to the queen.
