Council approves bids and special airport ordinances

    During its meeting on August 18, the Cuba City Council approved bids for tree trimming and transformers, along with three special ordinances related to the airport.

Ramp work scheduled along Interstate 44 near Cuba

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be making pavement improvements that will partially close three eastbound entrance ramps along Interstate 44 in Crawford County Monday, August 31 through Thursday, September 3.

Cuba Chamber presents annual awards

    The Cuba Chamber of Commerce presented its annual awards on August 20 at Frisco’s Pub and Grill. The awards were originally scheduled to take place earlier this year but had to be postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Infusion licenses merged for medical marijuana company

    JG Missouri, which plans to open a medical marijuana manufacturing facility in the Barnett Technology Park along Highway DD in Cuba, had its three infused product licenses rolled into one by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) last week following a compliance review. The company has yet to begin any local construction.

Citizens voice concerns to council about medical marijuana manufacturer

    Citizens came forward with several concerns about Green Farms’ operations in the industrial park near their residence during Cuba’s city council meeting on August 18. Cuba resident Gary Branson and several of his neighbors wanted to bring the council’s attention to issues such as bright lights shining into bedrooms and noises from the industrial fans.
