Council accepts comptroller’s retirement letter

           During a closed executive session on April 7, the Cuba City Council approved a motion to accept a letter of retirement from Comptroller Christine Nash as of May 11, her first day of eligibility to retire. It is unclear, however, what part of the Missouri Open Meetings (Sunshine) Law the council followed in accepting the retirement in closed session.

Mayor, aldermen, collector, police chief take oath of office

           Cuba’s new bosses, who are the same as the old bosses, were sworn into office on April 7 following their reelection on April 5.

Wifi may be coming to Hood Park

            Visitors to Hood Park may soon be able to use free wifi internet access, thanks to a motion approved by the Cuba City Council at its April 7 meeting.
