Members of the Bourbon FFA have been busy recently getting ready for their annual Spring Plant Sale, which will be held April 17-24. The FFA will be offering bedding plants, hanging baskets, and assorted vegetables. The Bourbon High School greenhouse will be open weekdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.

A special election has been scheduled for May 11 in order to break a tie for one aldermanic seat in Bourbon that occurred on April 6.
Bourbon High School held its junior/senior prom on Saturday, April 10, and attendees voted seniors Hanna Holland and Marten Thunder-Mathews as prom queen and king.
The Bourbon Boosters hosted their annual Easter egg hunt at the Bourbon City Park on Saturday and there were hundreds of area children on hand to hunt for eggs, with many containing tickets for a host of special prizes. There were also children’s toys hidden throughout the park.
Five Bourbon area residents will appear on the April 6 ballot for one six-year term on the Bourbon Fire Protection District Board of Directors. Candidates include Jason Delashmit, Robert Hoffstetter, incumbent Roger Martin, Kenneth McGraw, and Diane Noltkamper.
