In Crawford County Circuit Court on Monday, Presiding Judge Kelly Parker dismissed parts of former Bourbon police chief Paul Satterfield’s lawsuit against the city of Bourbon which was filed in the wake of his firing earlier this year. The ruling released the mayor and individual council members from some potential liability but allowed part of the case against the city and council members to proceed.

Lewis awarded Bill Wallis Scholarship
Ashlyn Lewis, a 2020 graduate of Bourbon High School, has been selected to receive the Bill Wallis Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The scholarship provides $2,000 in financial assistance for her education.
