BHS ag students hoping bond issue will bring new building

    Bourbon High School agriculture students could see some major improvements coming to the program, provided voters approve a no-tax increase bond issue in April. The $2.3 million measure will also include security improvements at the Elementary and a hallway renovation at the Middle School.

Senior Center will be closed Thursday and Friday

    October and November birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated at the Bourbon Senior Meals and Activities Program on November 21. 2019. October birthdays were Dorothy Benthal and Randy Tyree. November birthdays were Francie Rohrer and Alice Vali. November anniversary of 27 years was Bill and Dorothy Benthal.

Santa delays his visit to Bourbon

    The Bourbon Boosters had announced that Santa would make his annual visit to Bourbon for the Christmas Tree Lighting on December 5, but due to a glitch in his schedule, the Tree Lighting Ceremony has been changed to Friday evening, December 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Town and Country Plaza.

Leasburg Fire Department receives $5,000 GP grant

    The Leasburg Fire Department is one of more than 30 fire departments receiving a Georgia‐Pacific Bucket Brigade grant this year. The department was awarded $5,000 to help fund equipment needs, specifically personal protective gear.
