Bourbon superintendent recognized by the Missouri Association of School Administrators

Patricia L. Thompson, Superintendent of the Crawford County R-1 School District School District, was among eight Missouri superintendents nominated this year for the prestigious Robert L. Pearce Award, which is presented annually by the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA).

BHS principal receives accolade from her peers

The South Central Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals selected Bourbon High School Principal Dena Smith as the 2018-2019 High School Principal of the Year last week. Smith was nominated by one of her peers in the South Central region and then was selected through a vote by South Central high school and middle school principals. 

Woman faces drug charges after attempting to evade police

An Arnold woman who led police on a high-speed chase that started in Cuba and ended in Bourbon faces felony charges for drugs and for fleeing an officer of the law. Kristal Collier, 37, stands charged with class C felony delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) and class E felony resisting a lawful stop as a result of the April 28 incident.
