Woman charged with assault after striking car with baseball bat

    A woman who allegedly hit another’s car with a baseball bat while an infant was inside stands charged with three felonies as a result of the May 30 incident.

    The Fourth Annual Bourbon BBQ contest was held Saturday, June 12, with nearly $1,000 in prizes award to the best chicken, ribs, and pork steaks cooked at the event. The year’s overall grand champions were from O’Fallon, Mo.

Bourbon Community Foundation awards Coover Regional Recovery Grants

    The Bourbon Community Foundation has awarded total grants of $10,000 to five nonprofit agencies for recovery needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants are made possible by the Louis L. and Julia Dorothy Coover Charitable Foundation, managed by Commerce Trust Company in partnership with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO).
