Car thief caught in Bourbon

A Leasburg man stands charged with stealing a car from a Bourbon home, with an investigation showing that he had attempted to steal several other vehicles on the same date. As a result, Shane A. Lowder, 28, has been charged with two class D felonies – one for stealing and the other for first degree property damage.

Man robs Bourbon convenience store at gunpoint

Armed robbery and assault charges have been filed against a Union man who stole money from the ZX gas station in Bourbon on February 10. Mark Tanner Lusty, 25, stands charged with class A felony first degree robbery, unclassified felony armed criminal action, and two counts of class D felony second degree assault as a result of the incident.

Bourbon High School seniors Austin Carrico and Morgan Langley were crowned homecoming king and queen during ceremonies held Friday night in the BHS gym. The Warhawks hosted Vienna that evening, and the varsity earned a victory as junior Aaron Farris went over the 1,000-point mark for his scoring career.

    First Baptist Church of Bourbon is pleased to announce Brother John Parker is their new pastor.
    John and Joyce Parker have been serving the Lord together since the day they met at Missouri Baptist University. Brother John received a Bachelors degree focused on Biblical Counseling. Joyce received her degree in Religion/Theology.

Search for new Bourbon Schools superintendent is over

Dr. Kyle Gibbs has been hired by the Bourbon School Board as the new superintendent of the Crawford County R-I School District. He will assume duties as superintendent of schools beginning July 1, 2019, following the retirement of Patricia Thompson, which was announced late last year.
