Authorities seeking suspect in stolen-vehicle case

    A suspect who fled from local police following a vehicle theft and caused a lock down at Cuba High School is believed to have left the area, but the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking charges in the case through the county prosecuting attorney.

County continues efforts to maintain, improve roads

    Crawford County road districts have reported the funds expended on work completed to maintain and improve local roads and bridges so far this year.

Five Republicans seeking to become next circuit court judge

    If you want a say in who will be the next judge in Missouri’s 42nd Judicial Circuit, which includes Crawford, Dent, Iron, Reynolds, and Wayne counties, then you’ll have to take a Republican ballot in the August 4 primary election. There are five Republicans seeking to take the Division 2 judge’s seat after Judge Kelly Parker decided not to run for another term, but no Democrat will be on the November ballot, meaning Tuesday’s winner will be the next circuit court judge.

    Crawford County voters will go to the polls next week to cast their ballots in the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 4.

Crawford County’s COVID-19 cases total 33

    As of Monday, July 27, Crawford County’s new total for positive COVID-19 cases is 33. According to numbers released by the Crawford County Health Department (CCHD), of those, there are four active cases, 29 released from isolation, two positive serology (antibody testing), and 2,407 negative results.
