More than 100 new COVID-19 cases were again reported over the past week in Crawford County, making this the third week in a row that number has been over that mark. The county now has a total of 1,112 cases, increasing by 129 over the previous week’s total. The new total reflects numbers as of November 22 as reported on the state’s COVID website.

CCSO canine locates lost hunter

Canine Max, with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, led a successful search and rescue effort to locate a missing hunter on November 19.
COVID testing event scheduled for December 1
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has announced that it will be conducting a free COVID-19 testing event on December 1 at the Cuba Knights of Columbus Hall.
CCHD changes contact tracing procedures
County health departments across the state are struggling to keep up with the demands placed upon them by the COVID-19 pandemic. Health departments have worked tirelessly to contact positive cases as well as all close contacts, however, cases continue to rise, and that practice is becoming unsustainable.
Five new volunteers join Mid-Ozark CASA
In spite of the pandemic, Mid-Ozark CASA welcomes five newly trained volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in Missouri’s 42nd Judicial Circuit, which includes Crawford, Dent, Iron, Reynolds and Wayne counties.
