The St. James Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center has opened the Farmer’s Market & Tailgate Flea Market for the season. Come out to visit the Tourist Center on Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. to see all the wonderful items our vendors have to offer.
The St. James Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the Trail of Tears Project and the Interpretive Center proposed for a location in St. James. A community meeting will be held on Thursday, April 18 at the Community Center at Nelson Hart Park in St. James beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Steven Belko, Executive Director of Missouri Humanities, and archeologist Erin Whitson will provide information and answer questions.
The St. James Board of Education met on Thursday, March 21 to discuss topics pertaining to the district. During the meeting, the board,
• Heard that student Tanner Dixon was the winner of the Missouri School Board Association (MSBA) John T. Belcher Scholarship Award for Region #12. He will be presented with the scholarship during a regional meeting in April.
This month’s St. James Senior Center artist being spotlighted is Tracy Renshaw. The life-long artist has selected artwork that will hang on the Senior Center Art Wall during April for visitors to view.
